After we baked \u201csweet bread\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hefe-und-mehr.de\/2009\/08\/bread-baking-day-22-round-up\/\">BBD #22<\/a>) back in 2009 and \u201covernight recipes\u201d(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hefe-und-mehr.de\/2012\/12\/bread-baking-day-54round-up\/\">BBD#54<\/a>) one and a half year ago I decided this time for the theme \u201cAncient\u201d. But what do I mean with \u201cAncient\u201d? I would like to focus on old techniques in bread baking (e.g. wood fired oven), traditional recipes (maybe an old family recipe?) and old grain species like Emmer, Khorasan or Einkorn or heritage wheat or rye like red fife wheat, or Johannisroggen for example. You have not to fulfil all three criteria, one of them is enough. And I would love if you try to bake the bread with sourdough, but this is optional!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Here are the rules<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bake a bread or rolls with sourdough (or yeast)<\/li>\n<li>Either use an old recipe, or an old technique or an old grain species \/heritage wheat\/rye<\/li>\n<li>no post from the blog archive<\/li>\n<li>link back to this announcment and Zorras <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kochtopf.me\/stories\/bbd-breadbakingday\/\">Bread Baking Day<\/a> site,<\/li>\n<li>Please send a mail with the subject \u201cBread baking day\u201d at post\u00a0 @ hefe &#8211;\u00a0 und -mehr . de\n<ul>\n<li>The email has to contain\n<ul>\n<li>your name<\/li>\n<li>name of your blog<\/li>\n<li>name of the bread<\/li>\n<li>Url of the post<\/li>\n<li>a picture of the bread (not bigger then 3 MB)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Last day of submission is the 1.
