The last warm days made the apples on my parents apple tree delicious sweet. But with the begin of October the weather changed to \u201creal\u201d autumn with 10\u00b0C as highest temperature, rain and storm.<\/p>\n<p>I was longing for something sweet and warm for dessert to warm me from inside. Something sweet made with the delicious hand picked apples. I longed for the sweedish apple casserole topped with thin-rolled oats. A colleague of mine baked it for her birthday last winter \u2013 but forget to give the recipe to me until now.<\/p>\n<p>And so I made the crust like I thought it would work.<\/p>\n<p>And it taste good \u2013 who needs a recipe?<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2><u>Apple casserole with rolled oat crust<\/u><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Apple filling<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>600g Apple<\/li>\n<li>25g sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 Tsp. cinnamon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Topping<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100g thin-rolled oats<\/li>\n<li>75g sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 Pinch Salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 Tsp. Cardamom<\/li>\n<li>50g Butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Peel apples and slice thinly. Mix with sugar and cinnamon and place in the prepared form.<\/p>\n<p>Mix rolled oats with sugar, cardamom and salt. Sprinkle the topping over the filling and top with small butter chunks.<\/p>\n<p>Bake at 200\u00b0C for 45 min.<\/p>\n<p>Serve lukewarm with some cream.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In Germany we had a lot of sun at the end of September to balance the wet and cold summer.
