When my boyfriend asked for fried potatoes for supper it was the perfect moment to hit two birds with one stone. I could make him happy with delicious fried potatoes and could also participate at Heikes Blog event.
Fried Potatoes (for Heike)
- 700g Potatoes
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 big onion
Peel the potatoes and cut them into wedges. Take care that all of them have the same size. Melt the butter in a pan on low temperature. Stir the potatoes in the butter until all wedges are covered with butter. Cover the pan with a lit and cook the potatoes for 40 min until tender. Shake the pan every few minutes.
In the meantime peel the onion, chop finely and fry until soft and golden.
When the potatoes are cooked, remove the lit, heat the pan to middle temperature and fry until the potatoes are golden and crispy. Season with salt, pepper and allspice, add the onions and serve immediately.
