Can you believe it? It’s only one week left till eastern. When I take a look at thermometer in the morning and see that its only 0°C I snuggle myself in a thick scarf and forget that its already springtime. But its only seven days left and so I started to think about our Easter breakfast.
In the last years I baked Pani di Cena an Sicilian Easter bun traditionally baked on Good Friday or little buns as a Easter nest , where an egg (colored with homemade natural dyes) is placed in the middle. And little doves – Colombina – and Easter bunnies in different shapes (including a pictured “how to”) are essential part of my Easter breakfast, too!
This year I’m thinking about baking chocolate hot cross buns (for the beloved one who doesn’t eat raisins) and Poschwecken (with raisins for me). So new recipes are coming soon
